Hamas: Iran Election Shows Nation's Unity and Solidarity
Palestine Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas considered the presidential vote in Iran as a sign of unity and solidarity of the nation and the Islamic system in this country, and reiterated the elected president, is the president of all Iranian people. In an interview with Al-Alam on Saturday, a senior official of Palestine Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Mohammad Al-Madhoun, said: “Presidential election in Iran is a successful experience in consolidation of the Islamic establishment, which introduces a new role model of democracy.”
He considered the wide-scale participation of people in the presidential election as a sign of the Iranian nation’s commitment to the Islamic system, Islamic Revolution and their government, adding that the Iranian nation continues to support the world’s oppressed, especially the Palestinian nation.
Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gained more than 24 million votes in 10th presidential election, and was elected for a second presidential term in office.
